Reisebericht Fernwandern in der Sierra Tapalpa und Sierra Madre in Mexiko |
Guadalajara is the lovely capital city of Jalisco state |
1. Wandertag: Guadalajara - Bosque Primavera |
Along the edge of Laguna Hurtado are several fish restaurants. But not for today, there was still a long way to hike... |
3. Tag wandern: Atotonilco See |
These gigantic rocks are just a short hike outside the village of Tapalpa |
5. Tag unterwegs: Atemajac - Tapalpa |
Sierra Tapalpa is part of the enormous Sierra Madre Mountain Range. There are impressive views of Colima Volcano and several small canyons. The village of Tapalpa is a very lovely and quite popular mountain retreat. |
6. Fernwandertag: Sierra Tapalpa |
With 3 ½ liters of water, 3 bananas, 2 nut cakes, 2 apples, 1 orange und some chocolate cookies I set off over the Sierra Manantlan, part of the huge Sierra Madre Mountain Range. |
8. Tag auf Tour: Sierra Manantlán ("El Puerto") |
Seemingly never ending tracks in the Sierra Manantlan. At least I didn't have to carry to much water now as I always found friendly locals willing to offer me drinks. |
9. Tag wandern: Sierra Manantlán |
Rivers are a rarity in the dry season but very welcome to bathe, purify water and do the laundry. |
10. Tag auf Mission: Minatitlán - Camotlán |
Finally, Manzanillo Beach Resort, no more walking and no more camping. Only relaxing on the beach and wait for New Year's Eve. |
Aber allzu viel Zeit verstrich auch nicht bis zum nächsten Fernwandern, dem Chacala Pacific Trek... |
