Having troubles crossing the streets awash with motorcycles? Fancy kayaking amidst spectacular pinnacles jutting out of the sea? Ever seen a King’s tomb? How about lazing in the sun on a white sandy beach? Or are you into trekking in the mountains with lakes and waterfalls? Care to have a couple of Tiger Beers on a miniature plastic stool? Welcome to Vietnam! |
| Hanoi |
Hanoi is only the second largest city, yet it is the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Old Quarter is the ideal place to observe the active street life. |

| Halong Bay |
Massive rocks rise from the waters of Halong Bay. Some of the islands have beautiful beaches, some have hidden caves and still others are virtually inaccessible. It’s well worth booking a two or three-day boat tour in Hanoi, including the trip to Cat Ba Island. |

| Hue |
Hue served as the capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty. Still today one can appreciate the impressive wall around the citadel and another wall around the Imperial Enclosure or Forbidden City. Only a few kilometers outside the city, the royal tombs are beautifully designed buildings which blend into the natural surroundings. |

| Ho Chi Minh City / Saigon |
Ho Chi Ming City or Saigon is the busy and loud metropolis of approximately 5 million inhabitants in the south of Vietnam. The Vietnam War is omnipresent here. A visit to the War Remnants Museum and of the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels outside of the city should not be missed. |

| Mekong River Delta |
From its source in Tibet and after a journey of several thousand kilometers, the Mekong River finally reaches the ocean in Vietnam. The Mekong Delta is dominated by rice paddies and fish farms. By far the easiest way to see the Delta is by taking a boat tour. |
